The famous psychedelic rock band Ozric Tentacles, has announced an all-new double CD and vinyl album set, “Technicians of the Sacred”, to be released via Madfish Music on May 11, 2015, in UK, May 22 in Europe and May 26 in North America. This will be the first Ozric Tentacles double album since the classic “Erpland” over 20 years ago. “Technicians of the Sacred” is an original sojourn to the world of Ozrics. Richly layered, evocatively ambient, and ethereal musical landscapes, seamlessly morphing through beatific freeform dub trips, incredible rave grooves, and psychedelic progressive rock, create a heady, kaleidoscopic mixture of tones and textures. The aesthetics of the album are themed in Mayan Astrology. In support of this epic 90-plus minute offering, Ozric Tentacles will kick off its tour dates through Europe and the UK on April 25, with its first performance in Warsaw, Poland. “Cheating the Polygraph”, the brand new solo album by Gavin Harrison (King Crimson, (Porcupine Tree), has been released. This is an ambitious project, which sees the restlessly creative Harrison re-imagine eight Porcupine Tree songs in a set of vivid and vibrant new arrangements that give full, free rein to his inquiring musical mind. The eight tracks which comprise the album were recorded over a five-year period, with Harrison working in conjunction with a crew of some of the finest contemporary musicians, including the gifted saxophonist Nigel Hitchcock and bass player Laurence Cottle (ex-The Alan Parsons Project, Black Sabbath).
