    Progrock Records
    (USA) / June 4, 2006

    New & forthcoming releases:

  • Frank Lucas (USA) - "LWE"
Formed in 2000, keyboadist Frank Lucas (Neil Zaza, Michael Angelo), drummer Chuck White (Michael Angelo, Ion Vein) and bassist Steve Edsey (Dave Uhrich, Jeff Vincent), have been tearing it up in the Chicagoland area to captive audiences. Certainly, a studio recording was inevitable. The music of Lucas, White and Edsey, composed by Lucas, centers around the keyboard hero's stellar technique and lightning quick finger strokes. If you make comparisons to Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater, you are not mistaken. Over the last 12 years, Lucas has studied with the maestro at his studio in upstate New York. Backed by one of the best rhythm sections a prog rock band could ask for, Chuck White (drums and percussion) and Steve Edsey (bass) impress not only with great musicianship, navigating through many metrical minefields but some of the catchiest melodies.

  • Thessera (Brazil) - "Fooled Eyes"
Thessera was formed in the early days of 2003, with the idea of playing prog metal with elements from different music styles, such as fusion, blues, Brazilian rhythms and classical music. The band is composed of Marcelo Quina (voice), Nando Costa (guitar), Raphael Lamim (guitar), Marcelo Mattos (bass), Rodolfo Amaro (keyboards) and Fernando Cerutti (drums), and has been performing live in a number of shows, taking part in festivals, workshops and cultural events, and having even played as an opening act for Angra in September 2004. On May 20th 2006 Thessera was signed to ProgRock Records and their debut album "Fooled Eyes" will be released in June 2006.

  • Cryptic Vision (USA) - "In A World"
Cryptic Vision has just completed their eagerly awaited second studio album "In a World". The new CD continues and expands on the musical direction established on the band's critically acclaimed debut album "Moments of Clarity". Frequently compared to such legendary giants as Yes and Kansas, Cryptic Vision is forging their own unique style and place in the music world, and their new album "In A World" is sure to create a major buzz in 2006.
