French TV - Latest News:

According to the founder of the band Mike Sary, it's quite possible that the following French TV album will be a double CD, as the band has tons of material this time. The only question is the approach: one CD will be the way FTV have been recording traditionally, but the 2nd disc will be different in some way. One possibility is to avoid keyboards for the most part and use a lot of horn arrangements instead. Another is to have a lot of guest "stars" or recruit a bunch of the former FTV members, especially since the band is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Sergio Benchimol (Brazil) - New release:

According to Cesar Lanzarini at the Brazilean Prog Page, "A Drop in the Ocean - An Ocean in the Drop" (2004) is the first solo album by Sergio Benchimol, guitar player, saxophonist and keyboardist for Brazilian bands Semente and True Illusion. The CD follows the conception of duality and is divided into two parts. The first part is marked with the prevalence of chamber instruments. The second part is heavier and is a perfect fusion of Rock and Jazz with guitars and saxophones at the helm.

Small Pond Entertainment, a Red Fez Records company is proud to announce three upcoming Jeremiah Freed shows in New England:

  • Saturday, September 18th brings us Jeremiah Freed, Chauncey, and The Everyday Visuals at the very popular Stone Church, 5 Granite St. in Newmarket, NH. The show starts at 9 pm, $7 admission.

    About the Bands:

Jeremiah Freed blends classic rock with a bit of blues and a touch of modern influences to create American rock 'n roll at it's best. Although the York, ME natives are just in their early twenties, their musicianship is more mature than bands twice their age. Their latest release, "Slowburn", captures listener's attention with fiery guitar solos, soulful vocals, and emotionally intense lyrics. Smart songwriting that blends rich guitars with harmonies is what has brought The Everyday Visuals to the forefront of the New England music scene. Musicians applaud them for their experimental, avant-garde approach. Chauncey surfaced in Boston in early 2002, and has been impressing Rock fans ever since. The band recently completed a recording with legendary producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, The Pixies, Bush), to be released next year.

Don't miss the New England's best rock bill this September. For more information on these shows and all other Small Pond Entertainment events, please check Related Links below.
