Legendary rock guitarist, Michael Schenker, has announced four UK “Temple of Rock” concerts in May 2012, which marks the first time Schenker’s touring band will feature two ex-Scorpions members – Herman Rarebill (drums) and Francis Buchholz (bass). Vocalist Doogie White (ex-Rainbow and Yngwie Malmsteen) and MSG keyboardist, Wayne Findlay, complete the line-up.

Flying Colors

Forthcoming release:

Flying Colors, the spectacular new virtuoso prog/pop/rock band, featuring drummer Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater) and guitarist Steve Morse (Deep Purple), will release their eponymous debut album in the UK on Monday March 26th, followed by a US release on Tuesday March 27th. Released by Music Theories Recordings, the debut album includes the talents of Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals), Dave LaRue (bass), Neal Morse (keyboards, vocals), Casey McPherson (lead vocals, guitar) and Steve Morse (lead guitar).

German progressive metal force Effloresce, fronted by vocalist Nicki Weber, revealed the track list and art cover of their upcoming album named “Coma Ghosts”. The album is set to be released on February 10th. The album is comprised of 6 tracks, totaling something less than 54 minutes. The tracklist of the album is as follows: 01. Crib (8:12), 02. Spectre-1: Zorya?s Dawn (10:34), 03. Pavement Canvas (8:58), 04. Undercoat (2:54), 05. Swimming through Deserts (7:11), 06. Shuteye Wanderer (16:31). For “Coma Ghosts”, Effloresce worked with Swedish producer legend Dan Swano to shape an epic sound for their signature elements like intense rhythm work, memorable melodies, organ, flute, and vocalist Nicki’s stunning range from crystal clear vocals to raw death metal growls.

    Strawberry Fields return with their first live DVD entitled “Live Strawberry Fields”. The material included on the DVD was recorded on the 20th of April 2011, at Silesian Theatre in Katowice, Poland. The release date of the DVD is scheduled for February, 13th in Europe and March, 20th in USA (via MVD).

    SBB, a legendary rock band from Poland, will return with a brand new studio album in March. The album is simply titled simply, “SBB”.
