Two crucial releases for Prog Fans this Xmas:

Prog Supergroup Frost* releases their brand new CD/DVD bundle "The Rockfield Files" through Cube Records (distributed via Tigermoth). Tigermoth are proud to handle the distribution of “The Rockfield Files”, the first ever official live Frost* DVD. This highly anticipated release finally captures a live Frost* performance at the world-famous Rockfield Studios near Monmouth, Wales. Fans of the band have been waiting many years for a live DVD; the wait is finally over… The package consists of 2 discs (1 x DVD plus 1 x CD) in a gate-fold digi-pack. The DVD’s main feature is a selection of tracks from the band’s first two albums captured on multiple cameras at Rockfield. This showcases the extensive talents of the band and their obvious and infectious enjoyment of playing together. There is also an option to view the tracks with short introductions from Jem Godfrey. This is followed by two bonus acoustic tracks performed by Mitchell and Godfrey at Mitchell’s Reading home, including ‘Lantern’ a previously unheard new song. Finally there is an in-depth interview in which Mitchell and Godfrey tackle a variety of diverse topics ranging from chords to confectionery.

"Kompendium - Elements" is a brand new album of alternative versions and unreleased tracks from Rob Reed's award winning masterwork, "Beneath The Waves". Following the extraordinary success of the award winning "Beneath The Waves", Rob Reed has compiled a 2CD limited edition of unreleased tracks, demos, alternative versions and a complete instrumental mix of the original album entitled "Kompendium - Elements". "Elements" is the essential companion piece to the outstanding original album, able to stand on its own as a work of stunning beauty and maturity, but offering fans the chance to go deeper into the narrative and the musical vision of the original. Once again, the artwork of Geoff "War Of The Worlds" Taylor graces the cover of this collection. "Elements" includes a new version of the track ‘A Moment Of Clarity’, featuring vocalists Steve Balsamo and Tesni Jones.

The release date is scheduled for February 24, 2014, in Europe and March 11, 2014, in USA (via MVD).

Frontiers Records are set to release Heart's concert “Fanatic Live from Caesar’s Colosseum” on CD+DVD Deluxe Edition, DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on Monday 24th February 2014. The history behind this recording began in 2012, which was a year of major achievements for Heart. In addition to Ann and Nancy’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and news that they had been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the year was filed with musical accomplishments. Wilson combed their archives for a definitive four CD box set release in the early part of the year, and in the fall of 2012, released their "Fanatic" album to strong critical and fan acclaim. To support the release of "Fanatic," the band embarked upon a major North American headline tour, which ended with a magnificent performance at Caesar’s Colosseum in Windsor, Ontario, which was filmed by AXS-TV. In addition to songs from the "Fanatic" album which were performed for the first time for the television viewing audience, "Fanatic Live from Caesars Colosseum" also showcases many of Heart's classic hits.
